Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for anomalous network activity and security incidents
- Conduct threat hunting using MITRE ATT&CK framework and threat intelligence feeds
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on client systems
- Document security incidents and generate forensic reports with actionable remediation steps
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and hardening measures
- Stay current on emerging threats and zero-day vulnerabilities via ongoing training
- Assist in developing incident response playbooks and disaster recovery plans
Qualifications
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with hands-on SIEM analysis
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S) and security tools
- Experience with Windows/Linux systems and cloud security (AWS/Azure)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in threat detection
- Excellent written communication for incident reporting
- Ability to work independently while collaborating cross-functionally
- Active Florida residency required for occasional on-site duties
