Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM dashboards for threat detection and incident response
- Conduct vulnerability assessments using Nessus and Qualys
- Develop incident response playbooks for ransomware scenarios
- Perform penetration testing on internal network segments
- Document security findings in NIST-compliant reports
- Collaborate with blue team on threat intelligence analysis
- Ensure compliance with NYDFS Part 500 regulations
Qualifications
- 2+ years of cybersecurity experience (SIEM, IDS/IPS, or SOC)
- Active Security+ or equivalent certification (CompTIA, CEH)
- Proficiency in Python for security automation scripting
- Familiarity with AWS/GCP security services
- Understanding of NIST CSF and ISO 27001 frameworks
- Strong written communication for executive reporting
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Availability for 20-25 hours/week (flexible scheduling)
