Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts from SIEM platforms and intrusion detection systems.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on internal systems.
- Implement and maintain security controls, including firewalls, antivirus, and encryption protocols.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and impact.
- Perform user access reviews and manage privilege accounts to prevent unauthorized access.
- Document security policies, procedures, and post-incident reports.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or IT security.
- Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, or similar).
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking and common attack vectors.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP are highly preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
- Ability to work independently in a part-time capacity while collaborating effectively with a full-time team.
