Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on client networks
- Document security incidents and generate comprehensive incident reports
- Collaborate with SOC team to implement threat mitigation strategies
- Assist in developing and updating security policies and procedures
- Perform forensic analysis on security breaches and cyber threats
- Stay current on emerging cybersecurity threats and defense techniques
Qualifications
- 2+ years of cybersecurity experience or relevant education (CompTIA Security+, CEH)
- Proficiency in network security tools (Wireshark, Nmap, Nessus)
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Active or eligible for DoD Secret clearance preferred
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) a plus
