Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM tools and security systems for real-time threat detection and incident response
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including incident reports and risk assessments
- Implement security controls across networks, applications, and cloud environments
- Stay current on emerging threats and industry best practices through continuous research
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST and ISO 27001 standards
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
- 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity or IT security operations
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (e.g., CISSP, CEH)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and vulnerability scanners
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, encryption, and firewall configurations
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to prioritize security incidents
- Valid Florida driver's license for occasional on-site requirements
