Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for real-time threat detection and incident response
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on client networks and applications
- Analyze malware samples and develop countermeasures using Sandboxing and reverse engineering tools
- Generate comprehensive security incident reports with actionable remediation recommendations
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and maintain regulatory compliance (HIPAA, GDPR)
- Stay current on emerging threats and zero-day vulnerabilities through continuous research
- Participate in security awareness training for employees and stakeholders
Qualifications
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with hands-on SIEM/SOAR platform operation
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required (CEH preferred)
- Proficiency in threat intelligence tools (CrowdStrike, AlienVault) and network analysis (Wireshark)
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61) and forensic investigation tools
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and encryption standards
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting strict deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical/non-technical audiences
