Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate security incidents and coordinate breach response protocols
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Develop incident response playbooks and security documentation
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls
- Stay current on emerging threats and zero-day vulnerabilities
- Perform compliance audits for NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA frameworks
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- Proficiency with security tools: SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, and firewalls
- Strong understanding of network protocols and attack vectors
- Experience with vulnerability scanning (Nessus, Qualys)
- Relevant certifications: Security+, CISSP, or CEH preferred
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
