Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for security anomalies and investigate alerts
- Conduct vulnerability assessments using Nessus and Burp Suite across client networks
- Analyze network traffic using Wireshark to identify potential intrusion attempts
- Document security incidents and coordinate remediation with incident response teams
- Develop threat intelligence reports using MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Assist in implementing security controls for cloud and hybrid environments
- Participate in quarterly penetration testing simulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1+ years of hands-on security operations or network monitoring experience
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
- Proficiency in Windows/Linux environments and network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for threat correlation
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during assigned shifts
- Basic scripting knowledge (Python, PowerShell) for automation tasks
