Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and SIEM dashboards to identify and investigate potential threats in real-time.
- Perform daily vulnerability assessments and patch management to maintain a secure environment.
- Conduct security audits and ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., NIST, SOC 2).
- Respond to and remediate security incidents, documenting findings and root causes thoroughly.
- Collaborate with the IT team to configure firewalls, VPNs, and access controls.
- Conduct security awareness training for staff members.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in cybersecurity or network administration.
- Certification such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and security concepts.
- Familiarity with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, LogRhythm) and vulnerability scanners.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
