Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Investigate security incidents, document findings, and implement remediation strategies
- Develop and maintain security documentation including policies, procedures, and incident response plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and ensure compliance with industry standards
- Analyze malware, suspicious activities, and emerging threats using forensic tools
- Participate in security awareness training for employees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification preferred
- Proficiency in network security protocols and tools (Firewalls, IDS/IPS)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience with incident response and threat hunting methodologies
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time role
