We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Part-Time Cybersecurity Analyst to fortify our digital infrastructure in St. Petersburg, FL. Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents within the SIEM platform in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential security weaknesses.
- Implement and maintain security controls, including firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and ISO 27001.
- Document security policies, procedures, and incident reports to maintain an accurate security posture.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to remediate security vulnerabilities in applications and systems.
- Conduct security awareness training for staff members to reduce human error and phishing risks.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cybersecurity or a related IT role.
- Relevant certification is highly preferred: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or CompTIA Network+.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud security fundamentals.
- Proficiency with security tools such as SIEM (Splunk, QRadar), SIEM, and vulnerability scanners.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a part-time capacity.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for reporting technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to obtain and maintain necessary government security clearance if required.
