Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network systems
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection)
- Investigate security incidents and coordinate incident response procedures
- Develop and maintain security documentation (policies, playbooks, reports)
- Collaborate with IT teams to remediate security gaps
- Stay current with emerging threats and mitigation techniques
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with hands-on security tool implementation
- Industry certifications (CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CEH, or GIAC preferred)
- Proficiency in network security protocols and cloud security frameworks (AWS/Azure)
- Strong analytical skills for threat detection and incident investigation
- Experience with compliance frameworks (NIST, HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
