Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems for threats and vulnerabilities using SIEM tools
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Implement and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS, and encryption protocols
- Document security incidents and prepare incident response reports
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST and CIS frameworks
- Provide user security training and awareness guidance
- Stay updated on emerging threats and security trends
Qualifications
- 3+ years in cybersecurity with hands-on security operations experience
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (preferred)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security
- Knowledge of incident response procedures and threat intelligence
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks (HIPAA, PCI-DSS, GDPR)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
