Responsibilities
- Design and implement microservices architecture using Java/Python on AWS cloud infrastructure
- Lead CI/CD pipeline optimization for 24/7 deployment environments
- Develop real-time data processing solutions for IoT platforms
- Mentor junior engineers through virtual daytime knowledge-sharing sessions
- Conduct nightly system health checks and incident response protocols
- Collaborate with APAC teams during overlapping business hours
- Contribute to open-source projects during core development windows
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in distributed systems development
- Expertise in cloud-native technologies (Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker)
- Strong background in CI/CD automation and DevOps practices
- Proven experience with night shift or remote-first engineering teams
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Proficiency in monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog)
- Experience with container orchestration and serverless architectures
- Ability to work independently with minimal daytime supervision
