Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain high-quality, scalable code for our core backend services.
- Monitor system health, performance, and uptime during off-peak hours to proactively prevent incidents.
- Collaborate with the on-call team to troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues.
- Implement security patches, perform routine database maintenance, and ensure data integrity.
- Participate in code reviews and architectural planning sessions (remote/async).
- Optimize application performance and contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience in software engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- Proficiency in languages such as Python, Java, Go, or Node.js.
- Strong understanding of database technologies (PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- MUST be available and willing to work a rotating night shift schedule (e.g., 10 PM - 6 AM or 12 AM - 8 AM).
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a self-starter mentality.
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
