Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend systems using Java and Python
- Optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS for 99.99% uptime and scalability
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using Docker and Kubernetes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver features on sprint deadlines
- Debug and resolve production issues during night shift hours
- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and technical discussions
- Contribute to architectural decisions and technology roadmap planning
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in backend development with Java/Python
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and containerization technologies
- Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs
- Proficient in testing frameworks (JUnit, PyTest) and TDD practices
- Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana)
- Ability to work independently during night shift hours (10 PM - 6 AM CT)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
