Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable backend services handling 10M+ daily transactions
- Lead incident response and system optimization during critical maintenance windows
- Collaborate with global teams on cross-functional projects spanning multiple time zones
- Automate CI/CD pipelines for continuous deployment of microservices
- Contribute to architecture decisions for distributed systems with 99.99% uptime SLAs
- Mentor junior engineers through dedicated knowledge-sharing sessions
- Develop monitoring solutions for real-time system health analytics
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in distributed systems and cloud-native development (AWS/GCP)
- Expertise in Go, Python, or Java with strong algorithmic foundations
- Proven track record in high-availability system design and troubleshooting
- Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and infrastructure-as-code principles
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to perform under pressure during critical incidents
- Excellent written communication for async collaboration across time zones
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
