Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Docker for automated testing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during overlapping hours (3PM-7PM EST)
- Optimize database performance for PostgreSQL and MongoDB systems
- Contribute to code reviews and maintain documentation standards
- Monitor system health during night hours and respond to critical incidents
- Participate in agile sprint planning and retrospectives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 3+ years of experience with Java and microservices architecture
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and containerization
- Strong problem-solving skills with debugging experience
- Ability to work independently during night shift hours
- Experience with RESTful API development and testing
