Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts from SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) during night shift hours
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents, including malware infections and unauthorized access attempts
- Perform vulnerability scans and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Document security incidents, mitigation actions, and create detailed incident reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security best practices
- Stay updated on emerging threats and security trends to enhance defense mechanisms
- Participate in security awareness training for internal staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or SOC environments
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security platforms
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S)
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST, SANS)
- Ability to work independently and make critical decisions during night shifts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
