Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) hardware and software.
- Perform regular network audits and security checks to ensure data integrity and system performance.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and resolve hardware or software failures efficiently.
- Manage cabling infrastructure, including fiber and copper cabling, ensuring clean and organized workspaces.
- Monitor network traffic and performance to identify potential bottlenecks or security threats.
- Collaborate with the IT security team to implement firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in network administration or technical support.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, subnetting, routing, and switching protocols.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
- Physical ability to lift equipment and work in various environments (server rooms, outdoors).
