Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds and Nagios
- Diagnose and resolve network outages and security incidents
- Implement network security protocols (VPN, firewalls, IDS/IPS)
- Document network configurations and create technical documentation
- Collaborate with IT team on network upgrades and capacity planning
- Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for internal and external clients
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT/Network Engineering or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of hands-on network administration experience
- Cisco CCNA or CompTIA Network+ certification required
- Proficiency in TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS/Azure) preferred
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Valid Texas driver's license for occasional site visits
