Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco/Juniper network hardware including switches, routers, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using SolarWinds and Wireshark tools
- Implement VLANs, VPNs, and network security protocols (ACLs, firewalls)
- Document network changes and create/update network diagrams in Visio
- Collaborate with cloud team on hybrid Azure/AWS infrastructure deployments
- Provide Tier-2/3 support for complex network outages and performance issues
- Conduct regular network audits and vulnerability assessments
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on network administration experience
- CCNA or CompTIA Network+ certification required
- Proficiency in Cisco IOS/NX-OS and Juniper Junos
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP)
- Experience with network automation using Python/Ansible
- Ability to lift 50lbs for equipment installation
- Valid North Carolina driver's license for site visits
- BS in Computer Science or related field preferred
