Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN systems including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using diagnostic tools and optimize system efficiency
- Troubleshoot network issues and implement solutions to minimize downtime
- Document network configurations, changes, and security protocols
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless integration of network services
- Provide technical support to resolve network-related user queries
- Stay updated on emerging network technologies and industry best practices
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCNA certification required
- 3+ years of hands-on network administration experience
- Proficiency in TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies
- Strong problem-solving skills with network diagnostics tools
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Valid Virginia driver's license for occasional site visits
