Responsibilities
- Install & Configure: Deploy and configure routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points to ensure optimal network performance.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex network connectivity issues, latency problems, and hardware failures efficiently.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate network diagrams, IP addressing schemes, and configuration backups.
- Security: Assist in implementing network security protocols, including VPNs and access controls, to protect against cyber threats.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor network traffic and health using tools like SolarWinds or Wireshark to proactively identify potential bottlenecks.
- Cabling: Perform physical network cabling, termination, and labeling for new installations and upgrades.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
- Certification: Cisco CCNA or CCNA Security certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in network infrastructure support or administration.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in TCP/IP, OSI model, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and subnetting.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot under pressure.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
