Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco/Juniper network hardware and software
- Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds and PRTG
- Implement security protocols including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection
- Document network topology changes and maintenance procedures
- Collaborate with cloud teams on hybrid infrastructure deployments
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for network outages and incidents
- Conduct regular audits and vulnerability assessments
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT/Network Engineering or equivalent experience
- CCNA/JNCIA certification or equivalent network expertise
- 3+ years experience with LAN/WAN administration
- Proficiency in TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols
- Hands-on experience with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V)
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities
- Valid Maryland driver's license for occasional client visits
