As a Network Technician at Apex, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our robust network infrastructure. While we value in-person collaboration, this position offers a hybrid model, allowing you to work from our modern office in Saint Paul while managing critical tasks from home.

Responsibilities
- Design, install, configure, and maintain local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs).
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues, router configurations, and firewall settings to ensure minimal downtime.
- Perform regular security audits and patch management to protect network integrity.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users regarding network usage and troubleshooting.
- Manage and update network documentation, including diagrams and inventory lists.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to plan network upgrades and capacity expansions.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP).
- Experience with network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites in the Saint Paul metro area.
