Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable microservices in AWS/GCP environments
- Lead CI/CD pipeline optimization for 99.99% uptime SLAs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on API-first architecture
- Mentor junior engineers through pair programming sessions
- Implement robust security protocols for cloud-native applications
- Drive code quality through automated testing and code reviews
- Participate in agile sprint ceremonies with global teams
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in backend development (Java/Python/Go)
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and Kubernetes
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architecture
- Proven experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins/GitLab/GitHub Actions)
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Excellent problem-solving skills with system design experience
- Ability to work independently in remote-first environment
- Night shift availability (11 PM - 7 AM PST) required
