We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Network Technician to join our growing team in Irvine, CA. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our local and wide-area network infrastructure. As a Network Technician at Apex, you will work alongside senior engineers to ensure our network is resilient, secure, and scalable. Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot network hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Perform physical and logical cabling tasks, including fiber and copper termination.
- Monitor network performance and traffic using specialized tools to identify and resolve bottlenecks.
- Respond to and resolve IT service tickets related to connectivity issues, security alerts, and hardware failures.
- Conduct regular network audits and security assessments to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy new network solutions and upgrades.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Valid Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification or equivalent technical knowledge.
- Proven experience in network troubleshooting, LAN/WAN configuration, and VLAN management.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote-friendly setting.
- Current CompTIA Network+ or Security+ certification is a plus.
