Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events in real-time using SIEM tools to identify potential threats.
- Conduct thorough investigations into security incidents, including root cause analysis and remediation.
- Implement and maintain advanced security controls, such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Develop and maintain documentation regarding security policies, procedures, and incident response plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices.
- Stay current on emerging cyber threats and industry best practices to proactively defend our infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- 3-5+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity or information security.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, Security+, or GCFA are highly preferred.
- Strong technical proficiency with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, ArcSight) and threat intelligence tools.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud security (AWS/Azure).
- Experience with penetration testing methodologies and vulnerability scanning tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
