As a Part-Time Network Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our network's reliability and security. You will work closely with our IT team to support both hardware and software solutions, ensuring a seamless experience for our employees and clients.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot network hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Perform routine network maintenance and upgrades to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct cable management and terminate fiber and copper cabling (Cat6/7).
- Monitor network traffic and diagnose connectivity issues to resolve downtime.
- Assist in the deployment of new workstations and peripherals.
- Document all network changes and configurations accurately.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Computer Science or IT preferred.
- Valid CompTIA Network+ certification or equivalent experience.
- Experience with Cisco or Juniper networking equipment is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and subnetting.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time role.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
