Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events in real-time using SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, or ArcSight).
- Conduct 24/7 threat hunting and proactive vulnerability assessments during off-peak hours.
- Investigate and remediate security breaches and incidents swiftly to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with the 24/7 SOC team to implement robust defense strategies and playbooks.
- Generate detailed incident reports and maintain comprehensive security documentation.
- Participate in red team/blue team exercises and penetration testing support.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a SOC, Security Operations Center, or Cybersecurity Analyst role.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, network protocols, and common attack vectors.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts and remain alert during high-stress situations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting to leadership.
- Familiarity with automation tools (Python, Ansible) is a plus.
