Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN) hardware and cabling.
- Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting of network equipment, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Provide technical support and assistance to end-users regarding network connectivity and hardware issues.
- Document network configurations, issues, and resolutions in our ticketing system.
- Assist in network security audits and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Conduct cable management and physical infrastructure inspections to ensure optimal performance.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and networking concepts is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lift and carry network equipment (up to 50 lbs) and work in various physical environments.
- Valid driverβs license and reliable transportation may be required for site visits.
