Responsibilities
- Assist senior technicians in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN).
- Perform physical network cabling, including termination of Cat6/ fiber optic cables.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues for internal clients.
- Manage and update network documentation and asset inventories.
- Respond to help desk tickets regarding network connectivity and hardware failures.
- Conduct routine checks on routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Assist in the setup of new office hardware and network peripherals.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree in IT or related field is a plus but not required).
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong desire to learn and obtain industry-recognized certifications (e.g., CCNA, Network+).
- Good problem-solving skills and logical thinking.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs for cable installation tasks.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-service oriented mindset.
- Valid driver’s license is preferred for field work.
