Responsibilities
- Configure, install, and troubleshoot routers, switches, and firewalls to ensure optimal network performance.
- Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on network hardware and cabling infrastructure.
- Respond to network incidents and service tickets with speed and accuracy to minimize downtime.
- Document network topology changes, configurations, and inventory logs for audit purposes.
- Collaborate with the IT team to implement security protocols and disaster recovery plans.
- Conduct site surveys and cable management assessments for new client deployments.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- Valid Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, subnetting, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols.
- Experience with VPNs, VLANs, and wireless networking solutions.
- Ability to lift and carry network equipment weighing up to 50 lbs for site installations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call rotation for critical systems.
