Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) hardware and software.
- Perform preventative maintenance on routers, switches, and firewalls to ensure system reliability.
- Cable and terminate fiber and copper cabling infrastructure (Cat6, Cat6a, OM3/OM4).
- Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues and hardware failures efficiently.
- Collaborate with the IT support team to implement network upgrades and security patches.
- Document all network configurations, changes, and maintenance activities accurately.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or certificate in Network Administration, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or CCNP are highly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols.
- Proven experience with Cisco and/or Juniper networking equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 lbs for on-site installation.
