Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) infrastructure.
- Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues, cable faults, and hardware malfunctions.
- Perform regular network audits, performance monitoring, and security updates.
- Manage and document network diagrams, asset inventories, and configuration changes.
- Support remote and on-site users with hardware and software technical assistance.
- Collaborate with vendors and third-party contractors for network upgrades and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with company IT policies and industry security standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in IT or related field preferred.
- Certification such as CompTIA Network+ or CCNA is highly desirable.
- Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, routing, and switching protocols.
- Experience with Cisco, Juniper, or Allied Telesis networking equipment.
- Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, and basic scripting (PowerShell/Batch).
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the Arlington area.
