Responsibilities
- Install & Configure: Deploy and configure routers, switches, and firewalls to ensure optimal network performance.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex network connectivity issues and hardware failures.
- Network Monitoring: Monitor network traffic and systems to proactively identify potential security threats or performance bottlenecks.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of network topology, configurations, and change logs.
- Support: Provide Level 2/3 technical support to internal staff regarding network-related inquiries.
- Security: Assist in the implementation of security policies and firewall rule management.
Qualifications
- Certification: Associate degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field; CCNA or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience in network administration and troubleshooting within a Windows/Linux environment.
- Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, subnetting, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), and VLAN configuration.
- Tools: Familiarity with network management tools such as Wireshark, SolarWinds, or Cisco Prime.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
