Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using diagnostic tools and proactively resolve issues
- Implement and enforce network security measures to protect against threats
- Document network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures
- Provide Tier 2/3 technical support to end-users and escalate complex issues
- Collaborate with vendors for hardware procurement and maintenance
- Perform regular network audits and recommend optimization strategies
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT, Network Engineering, or equivalent certification (CompTIA Network+, CCNA)
- 3+ years of hands-on network administration experience
- Proficiency with Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent network equipment
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewall technologies
- Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios)
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with ability to diagnose complex issues
- CompTIA Security+ certification preferred
