Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot network hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance and proactively resolve connectivity issues
- Implement security protocols to protect against cyber threats
- Document network configurations and create maintenance reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on IT infrastructure projects
- Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, and remote access
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Research and recommend emerging network technologies
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Computer Science or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on network administration experience
- CCNA or CompTIA Network+ certification required
- Proficiency in Cisco, Juniper, and Palo Alto technologies
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VPN, and cloud networking
- Experience with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios)
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Valid California driver's license for occasional site visits
