Responsibilities
- Network Maintenance: Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot local and wide-area networks (LAN/WAN) to ensure optimal uptime and performance.
- Hardware Configuration: Install, configure, and manage network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Cabling Infrastructure: Perform physical network cabling tasks, including termination of fiber and copper connections, and cable management.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues, security breaches, and hardware failures efficiently.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of network diagrams, IP addressing schemes, and system configurations.
- Security Audits: Assist in implementing network security protocols and conduct regular audits to safeguard sensitive data.
Qualifications
- Certifications: CCNA, Network+, or equivalent IT certification is preferred.
- Experience: 2+ years of professional experience in network administration or IT support.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP).
- Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, depending on client needs.
- Tools: Experience with diagnostic tools and network monitoring software.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interaction.
