Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN) for enterprise clients.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues with minimal downtime.
- Configure and manage network security devices, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
- Perform regular network audits, performance monitoring, and capacity planning.
- Collaborate with the IT team to upgrade systems and implement new network technologies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of network architecture, configurations, and troubleshooting logs.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users regarding network usage and security best practices.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or Juniper JNCIA are highly desirable.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in network administration or technical support.
- Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, subnetting, and routing protocols.
- Experience with cabling infrastructure (Cat6, fiber optics) and hardware installation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Demonstrated ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing priorities.
