Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot network hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using advanced diagnostic tools and optimize system efficiency
- Implement security protocols and conduct vulnerability assessments
- Document network configurations and maintain accurate technical documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex network issues
- Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person
- Stay current with emerging network technologies and industry best practices
Qualifications
- Associate degree in IT or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in network administration and support
- CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent certification required
- Proficiency in Cisco, Juniper, and VMware technologies
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN protocols
- Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios)
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to lift 30 lbs and work flexible hours as needed
