Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Perform routine network audits to ensure security and optimal performance.
- Manage local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) connectivity for client sites.
- Document network architecture, configurations, and changes accurately using ticketing systems.
- Respond to and resolve network outages and connectivity issues with minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with system administrators and engineers to integrate new technologies.
- Maintain and update network cabling infrastructure (fiber, copper, and PoE).
Qualifications
- Certification in Cisco (CCNA) or equivalent networking experience preferred.
- Proven experience with TCP/IP, VLANs, routing protocols, and subnetting.
- Familiarity with network security protocols and firewalls.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for both hardware and software network issues.
- Ability to lift and carry network equipment (up to 50 lbs) as required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites within the Kansas City metro area.
