Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls)
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues
- Document network configurations and update infrastructure diagrams
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security protocols and upgrades
- Provide technical support for end-users via remote and on-site assistance
- Conduct regular network audits and vulnerability assessments
- Coordinate with vendors for equipment procurement and maintenance
Qualifications
- Associate degree in IT or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on network administration experience
- Cisco CCNA or CompTIA Network+ certification required
- Proficiency with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark)
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in confined spaces when needed
- Valid Texas driver's license for occasional client site visits
