Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Perform routine network audits and security vulnerability assessments.
- Document network architecture changes and create detailed technical reports.
- Handle fiber and copper cabling projects, including termination and testing.
- Monitor network performance using tools like Wireshark or SolarWinds to identify and resolve bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with system administrators to ensure integrated network solutions.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in network administration.
- Cisco CCNA or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLAN configuration.
- Strong understanding of network security protocols (VPN, Firewall rules).
- Valid California Driver’s License and clean driving record.
