Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds and Nagios
- Resolve network outages and security incidents within SLA requirements
- Implement and manage VPN connections and remote access solutions
- Document network configurations, topologies, and disaster recovery plans
- Collaborate with cybersecurity team to enforce compliance standards
- Provide Tier-2 support to resolve complex connectivity issues
- Assist in network capacity planning and technology upgrades
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Network Engineering or 3+ years equivalent experience
- CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCNA certification required
- Proficiency with Cisco, Juniper, and Fortinet network hardware
- Expert knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols
- Experience with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG)
- Strong troubleshooting skills using packet analysis tools
- Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS/Azure) and SD-WAN
- Ability to work flexible hours including on-call rotations
