Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot network hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Monitor network performance and security to ensure high availability and optimal data transfer speeds.
- Manage IP addressing schemes, VLAN configurations, and DNS settings.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users regarding network connectivity issues.
- Conduct regular network audits and perform routine maintenance to prevent downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable network solutions.
- Document network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Valid Network+ or CCNA certification is preferred.
- Proven experience with Cisco or Juniper networking equipment.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, and subnetting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to lift and maneuver network hardware (up to 50 lbs) when necessary.
