Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using diagnostic tools and optimize bandwidth allocation
- Resolve network outages and security incidents with minimal downtime
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement network upgrades and expansions
- Document network configurations, topologies, and standard operating procedures
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (NIST, ISO 27001) and company policies
- Provide tier-2/3 technical support for complex network issues
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Network Engineering, IT, or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco/Juniper network hardware
- CCNA/CCNP certification or equivalent industry credentials required
- Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs)
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS/Azure) and SD-WAN solutions
- Strong troubleshooting skills using Wireshark, SolarWinds, or similar tools
- Excellent communication abilities for stakeholder collaboration
- Ability to work flexible hours including occasional on-call rotation
