Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot: Deploy network hardware, routers, switches, and firewalls ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Cable Management: Perform structured cabling, fiber optic termination, and troubleshooting of physical network connections.
- Network Monitoring: Monitor network traffic and performance using specialized tools to identify and resolve potential issues proactively.
- Vendor Support: Liaise with third-party vendors for hardware maintenance and service requests.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of network diagrams, configurations, and troubleshooting logs.
- Security Compliance: Assist in implementing and maintaining security protocols to protect against cyber threats.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent technical certification.
- Certifications: CCNA, CCNP, or similar networking certifications are highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in network administration or telecommunications.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Cisco, Juniper, or similar networking equipment.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to work in various environments, including rooftops and server rooms; willingness to climb ladders and work at heights.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff.
