Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
- Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds and Wireshark
- Diagnose and resolve network outages, security breaches, and connectivity issues
- Implement network security protocols including VPNs and intrusion detection systems
- Document network configurations, topologies, and troubleshooting procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system integrations
- Stay current with industry trends through continuous training
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on network administration experience
- CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCNA certification required
- Proficiency in TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPN technologies
- Strong troubleshooting skills with OSI model understanding
- Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS/Azure) and SD-WAN
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Valid Texas driver's license for occasional site visits
